The special events scheduled below are either suggested trips to take on your own, extra hike group events outside of our regular hiking schedule, or are one of our Outdoor Adventure Trips.

The Outdoor Adventure Trips are often designed for anyone in the parish to take part as we have several people who are no longer able to hike or don't want to hike but still want to be a part of the great outdoors. These trips usually take place in the Spring, Summer and Fall. The 2009 Spring and Summer trips are designed for anyone and the Fall trip to the Len Foote Hike Inn does require a five mile hike to the inn and a five mile hike back.

If you have suggestions for a special event or OAT please feel free to submit ideas. Contact Jeremy or Marsha they will work with you to plan a trip for the group if it will fit into the schedule.

Events need to be planned two to three months ahead of the scheduled date for the publicity to be properly submitted and circulated.
Based on extreme weather conditions, safety factors, or other unknown variables at this time, any location may need to be changed. As trips become finalized the status indicator will change to "confirmed".

A couple of us are taking part in this ranger-led event and thought others might be interested.
